FAQS
Preparing for lessons
What is the best age to start piano lessons?
Piano lessons can typically start between 4.5 and 6 years old, depending on the child’s personality and ability to focus for at least 20 minutes. A curious and responsive attitude is often a good sign that they’re ready to begin. We usually recommend starting with a trial lesson to observe the connection between the child and the teacher, and to see how the child responds to the learning environment and overall experience.

Do you teach adult students as well?
Yes, we teach adult students as well! Whether you’re a complete beginner or returning to the piano after a break, it’s never too late to learn.
What styles of music do you teach? Do you offer pop, jazz, or Arabic music lessons?
Our teaching focuses primarily on classical music, which provides a strong technical and musical foundation. No matter what style you’re ultimately drawn to — whether it’s pop, jazz, or Arabic music — core skills like finger technique, sight-reading, and basic music theory are essential and highly transferable. A solid classical foundation will support you in any musical direction you choose to explore later on.
Are lessons held at your studio,or do you offer in-home lessons?
We offer both studio and in-home lessons. Our studio is currently located in Al Raha Beach area. Depending on your location, in-home lessons may be available as well.
Please note that tuition fees may vary based on the lesson location.

Is it better to take lessons at home or at your studio?
Both options have their own advantages, and the best choice depends on your child’s personality, your family’s routine, and learning goals.
Benefits of in-home lessons:
- No need to travel, saves time and energy
- Easier for busy parents, no rushing to get out the door
- Children feel more relaxed learning in a familiar environment
- Good for very young beginners who may feel shy in a new place
Benefits of studio lessons:
- Creates a sense of ritual and seriousness about learning
- Helps students develop a more formal learning attitude
- Fewer distractions during the lesson
- Access to a acoustic piano and better setup
- Helps build social confidence and fosters independence and responsibility when learning outside the home
Do we need to have a piano at home? How should we choose one?
Yes — having a piano at home is essential, as regular practice is key to making progress. If you’re not sure how far your child will go, or if you’re working within a budget, a digital piano is a good first step. Just make sure to choose one with 88 fully weighted keys that allow dynamic control — meaning you can play louder or softer depending on how hard you press the keys.
There are many brands out there, but we always recommend Yamaha, as the quality is stable, and it’s easier to repair or trade in later if you plan to upgrade to an acoustic piano.
• A brand new entry-level Yamaha digital piano (e.g., YDP series) is around AED 2,500–4,500
• A brand new higher-level Yamaha digital piano (e.g., CLP series) is around AED 8,000–10,000
• A second-hand Yamaha upright acoustic piano is typically AED 10,000–16,000
• A brand new Yamaha upright piano varies from AED 30,000–60,000+, depending on the model and where it’s made
Please ask your teacher for advice before purchasing, especially if you’re considering second-hand options or unsure which model suits your needs.
